Bio
After several years of working in office jobs that she didn’t enjoy, Anna decided to take a leap into her true passion and study the Diploma at Leiths. After working in restaurants, catering companies and catering countless of my own events, she now splits her time between private cheffing and making content for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, hoping to further develop her career within the media side of food.

Life before Leiths:
Moving from job to job in recruitment to account management; very much living for the weekend and not finding much joy or fulfillment in my work.

What inspired you to enrol at Leiths?: 

I’d known about Leiths and it’s reputation for years before I thought about going myself, and I’d always dreamed of being able to do the course. When I was made redundant during lockdown, I took the leap of faith and used my savings to retrain. It was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Life after graduation: 

Since graduating, I cut my teeth working in a few restaurants (Carousel, London and Osip, Bruton) before starting to cater for a few dinner parties via mutual connections. My catering enquiries started to increase and I was then able to work as a private chef full time. Alongside that, I put a lot of effort into my social media channels (especially Instagram) where I’d create, film & post recipe videos. This (after a few years of consistent work) has now become a career within itself, and now that I have built a following, I can collaborate with brands to promote their campaigns via my content; something that I really enjoy!

Any wise words for future grads?: 

Utilise ways to market yourself, social media being the obvious one, if you’re starting your own business. It’s definitely additional effort, but worth it in the long run!
