St John's Tavern is seeking a strong and dedicated individual to join the team that prides itself on using the best seasonal, fresh produce to create memorable dining experiences for their guests. The tavern serves an eclectic modern British menu alongside an ever-changing 'small plates' offering from a central wood-fired grill. If you're from a fresh food background, accustomed to leading a team, and thrive in high-volume environments, this could be for you.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.

Lead and motivate the kitchen team to achieve excellence in food preparation and service.

Utilize your creativity and expertise to contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.

Support in training and mentoring junior members of the kitchen team.

Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Embrace the opportunity to work in a newly renovated kitchen and restaurant, which includes the main restaurant (with central wood-burning grill), tapas bar kitchen, and events space catering for up to 300 guests.

Position: Fulltime

Days Off: 2

Salary: £32,500 - raising based on experience
