Meet the team: Sophie Kidd

Meet Sophie, Head of People & Culture at Leiths. She reveals what restaurant she's always wanted to go, her family's favourite pasta dish and what noodle recipe she favours on a Monday night.

What is your role at Leiths?

My role is Head of People & Culture, which means I’m responsible for overseeing and supporting the full employee experience at Leiths. This can be anything from recruitment to training & development to employee wellbeing and workplace culture, helping to support our brilliant people and staying aligned with our values.

What did you do before you worked at Leiths?

Before I joined Leiths, I worked for a cyber security software company in London for almost 9 years. Prior to that I worked for an RAF charity based in Edinburgh.

Don’t overthink this. Favourite herb?

Basil

Tell us your top three carbs and rank them in order:

1. Potatoes

2. Pasta

3. Bread

What’s your go-to easy Monday night dinner?

Gochujang pork noodles

What’s your ‘can’t live without’ pantry staple?

Probably a nice olive oil

What’s a restaurant you’ve always wanted to go to?

Murano

Favourite pasta shape and what sauce should we pair it with?

Rigatoni with a sausage sauce. ‘Rigatoni alla Norcina’ is a firm family favourite

What’s your most splattered cookbook?

Ottolenghi Simple

What’s your most loved kitchen utensil?

My most used is probably a wooden spoon!
