Leiths Education, famous for its world class cookery teaching, is excited to announce the launch of its Primary Pilot. With over fifty years of experience, Leiths Education has distilled its knowledge of practical cookery education into high-quality practical, accessible and inclusive lessons for KS1 and KS2.

Tailored to the National Curriculum and appropriate child development needs, the pilot will be free of charge. Alongside our tried-and-tested lesson resources, we’re offering complementary CPD sessions about teaching practical cookery, certificates of completion for pupils and a chance to win an exclusive cooking experience for your school. There is also the chance for pupils to participate in our Young Cook Competition with regional prizes for the winners.
You will introduce and build on core competencies and skills-for-life with your pupils. Leiths Education understands schools and teachers are faced with an already stretched timetable. However, we’ve designed our Primary Pilot so that you can offer this exciting opportunity to your pupils in an attainable way with options for heat-free cooking.
Maria Dunbar, Director of Education at Leiths Education, said: ‘We know it can be hard to fit food education into busy school days, which is why we really want primary schools to join the pilot for free. The course includes lots of recipes which are ideal for teaching in a classroom or a school hall, cook-along videos for every recipe and amazing digital resources. We’re really looking forward to hearing what teachers think, and to giving children the chance to cook with their classmates and make delicious meals and snacks, cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients.’
With just 90 free places available, apply soon to secure your place on our industry-leading Primary Pilot. We can’t wait to hear from you.
