A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Pastry Sous Chef to join the kitchen brigade at Rocket Food – London’s leading luxury caterer and specialists in remarkable events, weddings and private parties.
Overview
The Pastry Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Head Pastry Chef in leading the pastry operations for Rocket Events, Pocket Rocket and Made by Rocket. This is a Senior role within the overall Rocket Kitchen brigade and you will work closely with the Head Pastry Chef and other senior individuals within the kitchen to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of Pastry, in line with the industry leading standards for which Rocket has become accustomed.
Usual working hours are Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm with one evening per week. This role therefore offers an enviable work life balance.
o Planning day to day production, advanced prep and stock control in line with pre-determined kitchen budgets
o Development of seasonal menus for events, a la carte, stalls and canapes
o Assist with the Development of Pocket Rocket and Made by Rocket
o Producing recipes and spec sheets for all dishes
o Support the Head Chef on overall kitchen management and delivery of events calendar
o Attending and working on Events as required
