Volta do Mar is a Lusophone restaurant serving dishes from across the Portuguese speaking world and proud to have been selected for The MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2026. The menu is inspired by the cuisines of Portugal, Brazil, Africa and Asia, taking specific inspiration on the menu from countries like Goa, Macau, Malacca, Mozambique, Angola - to name a few. Volta do Mar is totally unique on the London dining scene. Located in the heart of Chelsea, just a few minutes walk from South Kensington tube. It is family owned and run and proud to treat the team like family. The business owners - Simon Mullins & Isabel Almeida Da Silva (co-founders) - are operationally hands on, working in the restaurant day to day. Both Simon and Isabel have decades of experience they can impart on new team members. Isabel worked with Marco Pierre White at Mirabel, as well as The Fifth Floor Harvey Nichols and on the opening team at The Delaunay. Simon Co-Founded Salt Yard Group, a successful group of tapas trailblazing restaurants in Soho. At Volta do Mar you are limited only by your ability and ambition, of which we hope prospective team members have lots of both.
They are looking for an ambitious Chef de Partie - ideally with 2-4 years' experience to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking high-quality dishes using the best available ingredients. You must have a strong culinary background, cooking skilfully and precisely. Passion and attention to detail are paramount.
As CdP you will be expected to prep and set-up sections, be organised, precise and strong in service. You will be working alongside the Chef-Owner. This is a great opportunity to take your career to the next level.
Hours: 40-50 per week - Tuesday to Sunday (Mondays always off)
Salary: £38K
