Salsa Rose is a sustainably driven food and events studio. It's a small team driven by a shared goal to become London's leading luxury sustainable food and events studio.

The team works across all kinds of events; from big weddings to more intimate suppers to corporate parties, approaching all of their events with the same attention to detail, care and creativity with sustainability always at the core.

The chef team (which is currently three) works collaboratively with the Exec Chef / Founder to write beautiful menus using the best seasonal produce available. Cooking outside over fire on an asado grill - affectionately nicknamed Fire Boy - is a favourite.

The chef team works really closely with the events team to make sure to create incredible events. There are weekly team meetings to keep in touch, regular calls with the founder to check in as well as 6 monthly reviews.

The team is ooking for a CDP who is keen to develop their skills, accelerate their career and make a big impact in a fast-growing and dynamic small business.

Kitchen responsibilities
- Assist day to day running of the kitchen - maintaining high standard and attention to detail
- Ensuring HACCP is properly upheld
- Following daily prep lists - learning to write these
- Assist with orders and stock take - learning to do this alone
- Helping sous chef with suppliers - checking deliveries
- Entering recipes into jelly (food costing app)

Event responsibilities
- Being a personable Salsa Rose representative on site at events
- Helping direct waiters in absence of event manager on site
- Assisting with tastings for large events
- Setting up mobile kitchen spaces where needed
- Ensuring all kitchen spaces are left clean and tidy after an event
- Ensuring all food looks and tastes delicious at all times
- Ensuring photos are taken for socials

Creative input
- Menu ideas and recipes
- Menu photography and food styling
- Being in tune with seasonal changes and enthusiastic about suppliers and produce
- Ideas for the business - supper clubs, pop ups, festivals etc…
- Assisting with social media photos and videos

What to expect
- The role will be split between the kitchen in East London and on site at events.
- Salary - 34K plus a company wide profit share scheme
- Pay reviews every 6 months
- 45 hours a week, with lieu days to make up for any overtime
- Monday to Friday but expect to work on some weekends especially over Summer wedding weekends

Job Requirements
- Essential skills & experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Driving licence - happy to drive a van
- Highly organised
- Flexible and team player, happy to get stuck in all areas of the business
- Proven ability to work well under pressure, maintaining high level of attention to detail
- Proven ability to assist a team professionally and efficiently
- Passion for all things relating to events, food and drinks
- Level 2 food hygiene certificate
