Description
Freelance batch cooking chef is required for an early-stage meal prep concept. The focus is on building a small, scalable operation producing structured, macro-balanced meals for fitness-focused clients and busy professionals.
This is pre-launch work to establish the batch cooking workflow, menu structure, and overall efficiency.
The direction of the concept is a tight menu, batch production, and portion-based customisation rather than bespoke cooking.
Ideally, you will be:
- comfortable with structured, repeatable batch cooking
- have experience in commercial or high-volume kitchens
- have an interest in performance nutrition or macro-based meals (a plus, not essential)
- comfortable working independently and contributing practical ideas on how to run things efficiently
This is not a fully guided role so you will be confident to take ownership of the kitchen side of the operation and help translate a clear concept into an efficient, repeatable system.
Structured weekly batch cooking
Small, fixed menu (8–12 core meals)
Macro- and calorie-focused meals
Customisation through portion scaling only
20-40 customers per week initially
Hours: ongoing weekly work - 1-2 days per week
Pay: £150-220 per day doe
