Description
Private chef is required for two months in West-Central France to cater for a family in an historic chateau in Poitiers.
A great opportunity to gain experience cooking in France, working for a foodie family. You will have the opportunity to go to local markets for produce, try out new recipes and learn about wine.
Cooking responsibilities include preparing light lunch (though not always required) and more complex dinners for 2 to 16 people approximately 4 days per week as the family is often invited out. You will be flexible on the days depending on the family's schedule. You will be comfortable catering for larger events - such as drinks parties, should there be a requirement.
You will be responsible for all kitchen management but not required to serve at table. You will be an autonomous, self starter and will be given lots of independence.
You will be a driver with a decent grasp of French for shopping.
Salary dependent on experience; holiday to be negotiated.
The family will conduct interviews in London.
