Our Secondary courses range from entry-level cookery through a progressive pathway to professional-level accreditation – the perfect stepping stone to amazing possibilities within the food industry. From chefs and recipe developers to content creators and home economists, there are careers available for every student and we can work with you to open up minds, hearts and opportunities. All students will gain confidence in a vital life skill and be independent future adults confident to cook for their own family and friends.
With delicious recipes from around the world, using sustainable ingredients, Leiths courses ignite a passion for cookery in all students – which can set them up for a lifelong healthy relationship with food. Menu planning, food photography, content creation, and core cookery skills and competencies combine to build a wealth of skills at every level.
All teaching and learning resources are included, meaning that these courses can be delivered by teachers of any confidence level, and can be part of extra-curricular activity time and even delivered via hybrid- or distance-learning packages to make them inclusive for all learners. With lesson plans, recipes, mark schemes, and step-by-step videos from our experienced chefs, we have worked with teachers from a range of schools to provide everything you need to give students every chance for great success. We also provide mentors and high-level teacher CPD as part of our courses to work with you every step of the way.

Key Stage 3 – Life Skills Cookery Course
Students progress in skills through a course designed to show them everything food has to offer – from enjoying meals with family to looking at future career paths.
Key Stages 3, 4 & 5 – Life Skills Cookery Courses
An innovative, immersive and accessible cook-along experience fully led by Leiths’ expert staff through videos compatible for lesson time, extra-curricular clubs and distance learning.
Key Stage 4 & 5 – Life Skills Cookery Courses
A practical, hands-on course focused on learning recipes and cookery skills from around the world, with a view to inspiring future travel and careers involving food.
Key Stage 4 – Accredited Cookery Qualification
A practical, accredited GCSE-style course which serves as a perfect first step towards a career in food – from learning new skills and competencies to planning menus.
Key Stage 5 – Accredited Cookery Qualification
An advanced level course which carries UCAS points and prepares students for a wealth of career options in the food industry – from professional kitchens to food photographers.
