From Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 5, Leiths offers a progressive cookery education that grows with your students. Our courses introduce early food exploration, develop practical life skills and lead to recognised, accredited qualifications that support future learning and careers in food.
Designed by Leiths chefs and education specialists, our resources are ready to use in real school settings. Step-by-step cookalong videos and comprehensive teaching materials enable teachers of any confidence level to deliver engaging, high-quality cookery lessons with ease.
Successfully delivered in schools across the UK and internationally, Leiths courses are flexible enough to fit any timetable. Whether taught on or off curriculum, as enrichment or as part of a qualification pathway, our programmes make meaningful food education accessible and achievable for every learner.
Our Leiths Secondary and Primary courses support pupils from early food education through to Key Stage 5, offering a clear and progressive cookery pathway. From essential life skills to recognised, accredited qualifications, students develop practical competence, confidence and independence as they move through school.
Through hands-on cooking, shared meals and structured learning around food choice, provenance and safety, students build positive, lasting relationships with food. For many, cookery also provides a gateway to future opportunities, from further study to careers across hospitality, travel and the wider food industry.

Engage pupils from KS1 to KS5 with a complete cookery pathway, from essential life skills and lifestyle cookery to recognised, accredited qualifications. Students develop from no-heat cooking to confident, safe use of heat, while exploring global flavours and future food pathways.
Key Stages 1 & 2 – Life Skills Cookery Courses
Leiths Primary courses are designed to spark a love of food and cooking from an early age. Through hands-on, age-appropriate lessons, pupils build essential life skills, explore ingredients and flavours and gain confidence in the kitchen, creating a strong foundation for future learning.
Key Stage 3 – Life Skills Cookery Course
At Key Stage 3, students develop core cookery skills through a structured course that builds independence and confidence. Lessons explore food choice, nutrition and global cuisines, while introducing pathways towards further study and future careers in food.
Key Stages 3, 4 & 5 – Life Skills Cookery Courses
An immersive and accessible cookalong course led by Leiths experts. Delivered through step-by-step videos, this flexible programme supports curriculum time, extra-curricular clubs and distance learning, helping students build confidence and practical cookery skills in any setting.
Key Stage 4 & 5 – Life Skills Cookery Courses
A practical, hands-on course focused on developing core cookery skills through recipes from around the world. Designed to build independence and confidence, Confident Cookery supports lifestyle learning while offering a natural progression towards further study and food-related careers.
Key Stage 4 & 5 – Accredited Cookery Qualification
A practical, accredited GCSE-style course designed as a first step towards further study or a career in food. Students develop professional core skills, techniques and competencies, from mastering methods to planning and producing complete menus.
Key Stage 5 – Accredited Cookery Qualification
An advanced, accredited qualification carrying UCAS points. This course develops professional-level knowledge and skills, preparing students for progression into higher education or a wide range of careers across the food industry, from professional kitchens to food media and related pathways.
Leiths Education works with a wide range of partner schools and settings across the UK and internationally. We collaborate with state, independent and academy schools, as well as virtual schools and special provision settings, supporting pupils at every stage of their education.
Our classroom-ready courses are designed to work in diverse environments, from fully equipped food rooms to pop-up kitchens and remote learning settings. This flexible approach helps ensure meaningful, hands-on cookery education is accessible to all young people, regardless of location, facilities or background.

Since introducing the Leiths Level 3 cookery programme to its sixth form in September 2025, Stamford School has seen its food & nutrition department grow in ambition, profile and student numbers. We spoke to head of department Abbie Mann, classroom leader Louisa Gregory and head of sixth form Chris Hawkins about what the course has brought to their students, and to the school.
On 5 March 2026, Leiths Education held a parliamentary reception at the House of Lords – bringing together policymakers, educators and food industry figures to make the case for regular, practical cookery lessons in every UK primary school.
Haberdashers’ Monmouth School is the first Leiths Partner School in Wales. Students at the school benefit from access to Leiths courses both in the prep and senior school, and places on the courses are in high demand.
