Whether you’re planning a career change, considering life after school or exploring your passion for food more deeply, our Open Evening is the best way to get a taste for life at Leiths.

You’ll have the chance to:

  • Experience a cookery demonstration from the Leiths team. Our expert teachers will run through a Diploma-level dish to give you a feel for what you can expect on the course.
  • Discuss career opportunities with our in-house recruitment agency Leiths List – Connect. Find out more about our bespoke work experience programme along with the range of food careers that our Diploma course can lead to.
  • Meet the Leiths teaching team. Our team will be on hand for 1-to-1 chats to talk through our Diploma options and answer any questions you might have.

Our Culinary Diploma

Experience 18 weeks of world-class culinary training on the Leiths Culinary Diploma and start your future of food. You can study at your pace and tailor your Diploma to your goals.

Structure

The Diploma is comprised of three Certificates of increasing culinary refinement – Core, Professional and Diploma.

Skills

From preparing sauces and stocks from scratch right through to advanced patisserie, get industry-ready and fast-track your culinary skills.

Qualifications

Leiths Culinary Diploma, CTH Level 4 in Professional Culinary Arts, COSHH Awareness and Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety and Allergen Awareness.

Facilities

Four professional-style kitchens, dedicated demo kitchen, cookbook library and student common room in central London.

Yes. Places are limited and our open evenings often fill up quickly, so we recommend registering early to secure your spot.

Of course. You’re welcome to bring one guest – just make sure to include their details when you register.

There’s no formal dress code, but we suggest wearing comfortable footwear as you’ll be touring the kitchens.

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the Introduction start time so you can check in, enjoy a welcome drink and make the most of the event. 

No – you don’t need any formal qualifications or previous professional experience. What matters most is your enthusiasm, commitment and passion for food. Our teaching is structured to support students of all levels, from keen home cooks to those with kitchen experience.

Absolutely. If you can’t make it, you can still register to receive follow-up information about our courses, future open evenings and virtual events.

Yes. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to meet tutors, talk to current students and ask questions about life at Leiths.

Paid on-street parking is available near the School, but we are also easily accessible by public transport. Our nearest tube stations are Stamford Brook, Goldhawk Road and Shepherd’s Bush. 

Yes, light refreshments will be provided during the evening.

The Open Event typically lasts around two to two and a half hours, including talks, cookery demonstrations, tours and a Q&A session.
