Knife Skills Workshop: Jointing Poultry & Filleting Fish

This focused workshop offers participants the opportunity to develop essential knife skills, as taught on our professional culinary courses.

The session will concentrate on jointing a whole chicken and filleting both flat and round fish with precision and confidence. In addition, participants will cover key vegetable preparation techniques, learn how to select the appropriate knife for each task, and be introduced to the principles of knife care and sharpening.

The day will be a balance of hands-on practical cookery and expert demonstrations, providing a solid foundation in core knife techniques.

After the practical session, guests will enjoy a relaxed lunch featuring the dishes they have prepared, shared with fellow participants and accompanied by refreshments.

Timings

  • Arrival: From 9.30am
  • Class begins: 10.00am
  • Cooking ends: Around 1.45pm
  • Lunch: Enjoy some of the dishes you’ve made with your fellow participants
  • Day ends: 2.30pm

Please arrive in good time so you’re ready to start promptly at 10am.
