Join us for our Open Evening at Leiths on Thursday 5th February 2026, 6:30–8:30pm, and discover how the Culinary Diploma can launch your career in food.
Experience a day in the life of a Leiths Culinary Diploma student – step into our kitchens, don chef whites, and explore the world of professional culinary training.
Students are invited to arrive from 9:30 am for a 10:00 am start.
Following a brief introduction, you’ll experience a Diploma-style cooking demonstration led by one of our expert Diploma teachers. The recipes demonstrated will showcase a variety of skills from the Diploma curriculum, giving you insight into our teaching approach and an overview of what the course covers.
What you see and taste during the demonstration will then be recreated by you in the kitchens during the practical session. Under the guidance of our Diploma teachers, you’ll prepare dishes to enjoy for lunch. You’ll also have the chance to sit down and share a meal with other students considering a career in food, offering a wonderful opportunity to connect and exchange thoughts.
Throughout the day, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask our teachers questions—whether about the demonstration, skills and techniques, the curriculum, life at Leiths, or career pathways in the culinary industry.
The day concludes at around 2:30 pm.
We hope this immersive experience gives you valuable insight into what we offer at Leiths, helping you make informed decisions about your studies or future career in food.
We are happy to make adjustments where possible.
