Summary Food Styling: Two Day Course

Whether it’s a career change or creating eye-catching food imagery for Instagram, learn food styling from the best in the business, Rebecca Woollard and Lottie Covell, the names behind much of the food styling in the media today - and now sharing their expertise at Leiths.

With their expert guidance on art direction and styling you will learn how to create and curate shots of your own to take on a camera or smartphone that will look professional, exciting, current and of course appetising.

Over two days, you‘ll learn how to build a shot, alongside the best way to prepare food & dishes to get the best shots; from how to cook a chicken to get the optimum colour to how to perfect egg shots - with multiple prep to capture the perfect runny yoke, as well as this - how to keep the dish looking fresh. The course also covers the mastering of cheese pulling with cheese toasties and cake decoration and more.

Your Teachers

Rebecca Woollard is a food editor and stylist. After training at Leiths she went on to work in magazines, and was the food editor at delicious. before going freelance. She now works for clients such as Ocado, Gordon Ramsay, Tesco and Slimming World and had her first book published in 2021. As well as styling she is also an art director, creating visual briefs and seeing them through from start to finish.

Lottie Covell also trained at Leiths and is an award-winning food stylist. Having been the deputy food editor at delicious. With Rebecca, she is now freelance and works across both editorial and commercial styling for clients such as M&S, olive, BBC Good Food and Waitrose. She has also written and styled two cookbooks.

As you style your dishes, Rebecca and Lottie will share endless tips and tricks, and this will make all the difference as you learn a new skill.
