The Wine & Spirit Education Trust provides globally recognised education and qualifications in wines, spirits and sake, for professionals and enthusiasts.

This qualification is intended for beginner to intermediate wine enthusiasts looking to improve their knowledge with a professional qualification, work in the wine, food and restaurant industries, or those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines.

You do not need to have completed WSET Level 1 to attend this course.

The course covers 3 days of intensive tutoring, tasting and wine and food pairing, followed by an exam 2 days later to allow for revision.

Led by Leiths 'Head of Wine', Marjorie Legendre, who teaches the WSET lectures for our professional Diploma in Food and Wine, you will gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.
