We’ve created an afternoon tea class here at Leiths which gives a perfect mix of tradition with a sprinkling of new.

Our new summer Ultimate Afternoon Tea class combines sweet and savoury classics with some inventive twists to create the perfect three-tiered cake stand to enjoy. You will get to experience every dish on the menu through demonstrations, tasting sessions or practical cooking.

Working in our new state of the art kitchen, you’ll learn tried-and-tested Leiths techniques and create classic British treats, adding new creative flavours. Then sit down together for afternoon tea and enjoy your delicious efforts.

The tea will be provided by JING, who source the best loose tea from around the world.

The Menu:

Pork, apple and sage sausage rolls

Coronation chicken lettuce cups

Crumble cheese scones with a herb butter

Strawberry shortcakes

Olive oil and orange cakes

What is included:

  • Refreshments on arrival
  • A recipe booklet
  • All ingredients provided and weighed out for you in advance
  • Lunch of your own making or sharing platters prepared by the school
  • We do the washing up!

What you need to bring:

  • Flat soled shoes
  • Long trousers and a long sleeved top are advisable

Allergies and dietary restrictions:

We are happy to make adjustments where possible. Some classes are however unsuitable for people with particular intolerances – where the menu would need to be completely different.
