Summary Celebration of Grains and Pulses with Jenny Chandler

Do you know your buckwheat from your bulgur? Your cannellini from your borlotti? Experience the benefits and versatility of cooking with pulses in this unique class led by guest chef, and author of Pulse, Jenny Chandler.

Adding more grains, nuts and seeds into your diet is a great way to look after your health and the planet too. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or just keen to eat a more varied diet, we can all benefit from eating more legumes.

In this hands-on class, you will learn about the practicalities of cooking pulses and whole grains from scratch, producing a range of tasty plant-based recipes while receiving a specialised education on their nutritional and environmental benefits.

Jenny will also spill the beans on how to use your leftovers to fight food waste and give guidance on sourcing the best ingredients.

-Beetroot buckwheat pancakes with horseradish creamed cannellini

-Zippy, spiced Matki Usal ( A sprouted bean stir fry - classic Mumbai street food ) with herbed spelt flatbreads and fresh pickles.

-Gigantes Plaki - The classic Greek butterbean dish served with a freekah herb and nut salad

-A simple multi-seeded oat bread served with seasonal chia-fruit jam

Please note, recipes and ingredients might change.
