Summary Online Essential Bread and Patisserie Two Day Assessment

Please note: this assessment is only for students who have completed the Leiths Online Essential Bread and Patisserie Course. Please do not book a place unless you have completed this course.

To receive your digital Certificate of Completion, you must have completed all of the course criteria, and passed an in-app cooking assessment covering key skills you have learnt during the course.

If you are opting for the full Leiths Essential Bread and Patisserie Accreditation, your mentors will have reviewed your progress to determine whether you have completed all online units satisfactorily. This accreditation, which takes place at Leiths School in London over two days, will come at an additional fee of £600.

Course Information

At the end of your online course, once all units have been successfully completed, you will be invited to attend a two-day assessment at Leiths’ London kitchens where you will have the opportunity to earn your Leiths Essential Bread and Patisserie Certification. The certificate is an esteemed, internal award which also has recognition in the industry and may support ongoing professional development or be useful in launching careers in pastry and baking.

During the accreditation weekend, there will be a practical assessment covering both strands of the course, during which the food you cook will be assessed, and you will have the opportunity for your food to be tasted by our teachers. You will also sit a theory exam to test a series of key techniques and skills covered over the course. With the addition of creative cookery sessions and demonstrations from our Leiths chefs, this promises to be a busy and rewarding couple of days. It is also a great opportunity to work in our professional kitchens alongside fellow online students from a mix of cohorts.

We look forward to meeting you!
