Summary An Evening with Honey & Co

“Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Where there’s fire, there’s delicious food to share, and friendships and memories to make.” Join Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich of Honey & Co for an evening at Leiths to celebrate the launch of their new cookbook Chasing Smoke, taking readers on a journey across the Levant, discovering the very best flavours of the Middle Eastern grill.

Sarit and Itamar will be demonstrating four dishes from the book, which you’ll be able to taste first hand. During this interactive evening you’ll be able to relax with a glass of wine, chat to our guest chefs as they cook, and get your hands on a signed copy of Chasing Smoke.

The Menu

  • Tahini BBQ lamb chops with fresh plums and spiced plum sauce
  • Whole burnt aubergine with charred egg yolk, tahini and chilli sauce
  • Grilled peaches with almond tahini and charred endive
  • Herby cheese-filled griddle bread

Sarit Packer

Born in Northern Israel, Sarit Packer has had an incredibly colourful culinary career, including two moves to London, training as a chef in Butlers Wharf cookery school, working at the Orrery in Marylebone, running an all day bistro, heading the pastry section in Ottolenghi and setting up Nop in Soho as executive chef. In 2012, Sarit and her husband, Itamar, set up Honey & Co, a tiny diner serving traditional, homey Middle Eastern fair in London’s Fitzrovia, followed by the opening of Honey & Smoke and Honey & Spice.

Sarit and Itamar have written four cookbooks, write a weekly recipe column for FT Weekend Magazine and host a podcast "Honey & Co: The Food Sessions".
