On 5 March 2026, Leiths Education held a parliamentary reception at the House of Lords – bringing together policymakers, educators and food industry figures to make the case for regular, practical cookery lessons in every UK primary school.
The Leiths Primary Programme is a bold national commitment to make high-quality food education accessible to all. Following a year-long pilot in 45 schools, our KS1 and KS2 cookery curriculum is now available free of charge, giving every child the opportunity to build lifelong practical skills through hands-on cooking.

Thom Elliot is co-founder of Pizza Pilgrims with his brother James. Before launching Pizza Pilgrims in 2013, they undertook a six-week pizza pilgrimage to Italy to learn all they could about pizza. They now have branches across London and in Brighton, Nottingham, Cambridge and Oxford. We spoke to Thom about all things pizza.
