Foundation Term 2016: A snapshot

Take a look at this year's Foundation Term of the Leiths Diploma.

And so the Foundation Term draws to a close for another year. From basic knife skills and the infamous crème anglais, to extravagantly decorated Christmas cakes and pheasant plucking; a lot has been covered in ten weeks.

The conclusion of the first term sadly means bidding adieu to our talented Foundation Certificate students, who we're sure will do wonderful things with their newly cultivated culinary skills. Come January, we'll be welcoming back our Three Term Diploma students and some fresh new faces for the start of the Intermediate Term. Get ready for feasts to feed 50, fancy fruit soufflés and some in-depth lessons on wine.

With it being exam week, we're giving our student bloggers a little break, but we can't wait to read what they have to say next term. For now, we leave you with this term's highlights and we'd like to take the opportunity to thank all of our contributors so far. Click here to read past entries.

This gallery has been created using student photos from the #leithsdiplomalife hashtag on Instagram and our own in-house photography.
